How drains are unblocked
Noticing a bad smell, slow drainage, or gurgling noises from your drains? You might have a drain blockage. Blockages can cause a whole host of problems to build up, which can be very inconvenient and destructive, whether you’re a residential or a commercial property. They have the potential to be a hazard to health and a source of additional damage, as well as being generally unpleasant.
There are many causes of a blocked drain, both organic and man-made. Tree roots may intrude into drains in search of water and obstruct the normal withdrawal of sewage and water. Similarly, your drainage system can become clogged with unsuitably flushed items like wipes and grease— so, if you experience saturated manholes, blocked showers, or overflowing toilets and sinks, it might be time to give us a call.
Locating and removing blockages is an efficient process using our state-of-the-art technology and equipment. We can inspect deep into your drainage system using 360 ̊ CCTV, helping us to assess your problem without the need for exploratory digging. Then, considering the variety of techniques and equipment available to us, our expert engineers can select the best method to clear the issue.
If the blockage is somewhat mobile, we may use high-pressure jetting; the powerful stream of water can soften and force through obstructions in your pipes. Otherwise, electro-mechanical cleaning can remove obstructions whilst de-scaling the system, until the material is harmlessly passed through the drainage system.
